Tessara is a poet, historian, and activist. Her poetry has been published by Words Dance, Wordgathering, and others. She reviews poetry for the Mom Egg Review, and has written for Black Girl Dangerous, and the Portland Observer. You can find links to her work here. Among her hobbies, Tessara likes to craft digital art. Inspired by her activism and the poetry of others, Tessara has created artistic tributes to the Broadway show Hamilton, as well as art which honors and celebrates the resilience of her communities.
